YouTube star Bethany Mota believes a "generation of acceptance" will change the beauty industry.
The 19-year-old "Be Who You Wanna Be" singer and Latina magazine cover gal often speaks out on how industry standards corrupt the value of inner beauty. As a strong defender of body positivity, she thinks society is beginning to change thanks to brave individuals unafraid of defying trends.
In the video above, Mota speaks with HuffPostLive on diversity in the industry, and has a message for those who dare to go against the trends.
"It takes courage and it takes a very brave person to do that," Mota said. "But as long as everyone, or just a few people, are willing to do that, it kind of sets this trend of not really having trends."
