WATCH: Roller Coaster Proposal Is Not For The Faint Of Heart

This couple is in for the ride of their lives.

Marriage is like a roller coaster: it is exciting and scary, it pushes you to new heights and drops you to sudden lows. It's certainly not for the faint of heart.

But if you're lucky enough to find the right person to sit next to you on the ride, it can seem a lot less scary.

In the video above, Youtuber Austin Crecelius shares the moment he asked his girlfriend, Allison Boyle, to be his roller coaster buddy for life.

"At one point in time you had mentioned to me that life is like a roller coaster," Crecelius said as the couple rode The Voyage roller coster at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Indiana. "And it's got its up and downs, it's got twists and turns, and it even throws you for a loop sometimes. And though you can go by yourself, it's a lot more fun to go with another person. So I wanted to ask you if you wanted to be my roller coaster buddy. Allie will you marry me?"

A teary Allison responded yes by nodding her head as Austin clasped the ring in one hand, and her trembling hand in the other. The whole thing was filmed by the couple's close friends who sat in the seats in front of them.

On his YouTube page, Austin offered an apology to Holiday World & Splashin' Safari for violating the amusement park's safety protocol. Holiday World accepted the apology and reminded fellow commenters that the no-camera rule on roller coasters is very serious and should be followed. They also left the couple with a few words of advice: "May all your adventures as husband and wife make you hang on tight, scream a little, laugh a lot, and bring you happily back home again."
