TransLink Bus' Excruciating Nine-Point Turn Includes Crash Into Pole

It's painful to watch.

This is one of the most painful attempts at a turn you'll ever see.

A dashcam captured the attempt by a TransLink driver to manoeuvre the bus through an intersection near Metrotown in Burnaby, B.C. on Saturday.

The footage uploaded to YouTube begins with the bus lurching backwards, and then forwards — and then it backs directly into a traffic light post.

It takes several more stops and starts — for an excruciating total of one minute and 41 seconds, if you're counting — before the bus manages to drive away.

Here's the kicker though, the dashcam later captures the bus making a U-turn at a different intersection!

TransLink said that the driver has been identified, and added "the incident is under investigation by Transit Police." The company did not disclose any details about the driver or the extent of damage to the bus.

No injuries were reported.
