Liberals Offered 'Unicorns And Rainbows' To Canadians, Says Tory Aide Kory Teneycke

HuffPost Canada's Althia Raj spoke to Kory Teneycke before election day and discusses his thoughts.

After 78 days of campaigning, Justin Trudeau's Liberals have pulled off ending fit for a fairy tale — much to the chagrin of one aide with the Conservative Party.

The Liberals, which had been left with 34 seats after the 2011 federal election, turned the voter tide to win a majority government Monday night.

How did they do it? HuffPost Canada Ottawa bureau chief Althia Raj spoke to Kory Teneycke, Stephen Harper’s director of communications, who said he thought the Liberals were offering "unicorns and rainbows."

Despite the lack of mythical creatures and colourful arcs, the Grit victory left supporters at the party headquarters in Montreal in good spirits.
