Phoenix Garden Restaurant In Vancouver Terrorized By Armed Robbers

"Acts of violence like this are clearly unacceptable," said police.

Police are asking the public for help finding three men who robbed an East Vancouver restaurant, armed with guns and a machete.

The trio stormed Phoenix Garden Restaurant, located at Nanaimo and Broadway streets, just before 9 p.m. on Sept. 12, police said in a media release Tuesday. Surveillance footage shows one man pointing a pistol at staff and another carrying the giant knife.

The group demanded valuables, watches, wallets, and ripped the store's computer from its counter before escaping to a waiting car, said police.

Customers and staff hid under tables and were "shaken by the chaotic and frightening incident," said Const. Brian Montague.

"Acts of violence like this are clearly unacceptable," the officer added.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects (pictured below) is asked to call Vancouver police at 604-717-6547 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
