Alanis Morissette's AMA Performance Makes Us Feel Like It's 1995 Again

"You Outta Know" has lost NONE of its impact.

Alanis Morissette's 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill" has been getting plenty of attention from other artists lately, but last night at the American Music Awards, the 41-year-old singer proved she's really the only person we want to see singing her songs.

Performing a duet of "You Outta Know" with Demi Lovato, Morissette took the stage with vocals as fierce and cutting as she showed when she first debuted the tune 20 years ago.

Lovato, we have to say, did a pretty great job keeping up with the Canadian star, prowling the stage alongside her and hitting those seemingly impossible notes with a similar fire and energy.

We're just happy that album feels as fresh and easy to rock out to today as it did in 1995 — and just like Bieber, we'll continue to wail "Ironic" in the shower, new lyrics or old.
