Like it or not, winter is here.
Whether you can't wait to go skiing for the first time this season or are just going to wait it out inside with some hot chocolate, you can sport the winter weather on your nails as well.
This snow nail art design is extremely easy to complete. All you will need is a makeup sponge and dotting tool.
To start off, apply a base coat and then two coats of a blue polish (it can be light or dark in colour). Allow the blue polish to dry completely before adding the snow.
Taking a wedge makeup sponge, paint some white polish on one end and start dabbing onto the nail, either at the base or tip. Concentrate the colour at the edge and then create a gradient effect by using the remaining polish on the sponge moving down the nail. Repeat this step once more to achieve full opacity at the edge.
To create the snowflakes, take the white polish on a dotting tool and randomly place dots on the nail, even on the white portion. Delicate touches of glitter add dimension to the look and are best done by putting some polish on aluminum foil, picking up individual glitter pieces and placing them on the nail.
Clean up any polish around the nail from the sponging, and then finish off the design with a topcoat to make sure this snowstorm doesn't chip away.
