Jamie Foxx Hero: Touching Photo Shows Dad Hugging Jamie Foxx For Saving His Son

On Monday night, Jamie Foxx rescued a 32-year-old man from a burning truck.

On Monday night, Jamie Foxx rescued a 32-year-old man from a burning truck. The next day, the man’s father came to thank the Oscar winner for his selfless deed and the emotional meeting was captured in touching photo.

Foxx posted the image of him hugging dad Brad Kyle on Instagram. “Met the father of the young man from last night today,” he wrote. “This is all that matters. That a man, a son, a brother's life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us...No heroes...Just happy fathers.”

Kyle’s son Brett, 32, was in an accident near Foxx’s home in Hidden Valley, California. When Foxx heard the crash, he called 911 and immediately ran to the scene. He then found a flipped truck that was catching fire and saw its passenger still trapped inside.

Foxx, along with an off-duty paramedic, rushed to cut Brett’s seatbelt off and pull him out of the car.

Following the accident, the 48-year-old actor told reporters: “As we pulled him out, within five seconds … the truck goes up [in flames]. I don’t look at it as heroic. I just look at it as, you know, you just had to do something. And it all worked out.”

Dad Kyle was brought to tears by Foxx and the other bystander’s selfless act. “It doesn't matter to me who it was, or what they do for a living, or whatever,” the dad told ABC News. “Just the idea that someone would do that is so much more than I can fathom. It’s all tears of joy. [Brett’s] got two sisters and a brother, they would've lost their brother if it wasn't for him.”

Foxx is also a father, which is why he was able to relate to Kyle’s emotional reaction to the incident. The actor has two daughters: Corinne, 22, and Annalise, 7.
