Adele made a terminally ill girl’s dream come true in the sweetest way possible. On Tuesday, the “Hello” singer made a surprise visit to 12-year-old fan Rebecca Gibney, from Belfast in Northern Ireland, who has cerebral palsy, epilepsy and is blind.

Adele learned about the young girl through an online campaign started by Gibney’s mother Tracey. When Tracey found out Adele would be touring in the area, she started a petition on Change.org in an attempt to get the pop star to visit her daughter.

“She listens to Adele from [the moment] she gets up in the morning until her bed time,” the mom wrote on the petition. “All I am asking for is for Adele to FaceTime we (sic) Rebecca or send her a video message, it would be her dream come true, please please help for my beautiful sick little daughter.”

In December, Gibney was given just six months to live, according to Belfast Telegraph. Despite this, the little girl still lights up every time she hears Adele.

Thanks to Tracey’s efforts, her daughter’s dream came true when Adele surprised the entire family by showing up at their house.

The mom-of-three told Belfast Telegraph that she was ecstatic: “My daughter got to meet the person that she loved and that’s what I’ll always take with me for the rest of my life.”

Adele reportedly played with the little girl’s hair, held her hand and talked about “Frozen.”

Tracey told BBC that she’s proud she was able to make her little girl’s dream come true. “It's made me feel like I'm the best mommy in the world which I never felt," she said. "Adele told me I was the best mommy in the world, too.”

Besides visiting the family, Adele also invited Tracey and her other daughter to her concert on Tuesday.
