Tom Hardy Wife: Why She Took So Long In The Bathroom At The Oscars

"The Revenant" star was seen pacing the lobby waiting for his wife.

This year, the 88th Academy Awards sparked debate over diversity in Hollywood. But following Sunday’s Oscar ceremony, a different issue came to light: the lack of accommodation for breastfeeding mothers.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Tom Hardy, who was nominated for best supporting actor in “The Revenant,” was seen pacing in the lobby during the event. When asked what he was doing, the 38-year-old star explained, “I'm just waiting for my wife to finish breast pumping in the bathroom. She has to do it every hour.”

Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time the Oscars’ event coordinators have not considered the needs of new moms. Watch the video above to hear more.

Hardy and his wife, actress Charlotte Riley, welcomed a child in October 2015. Although this is the first child for the couple, this is actually the second for “The Revenant” star. Hardy also has a seven-year-old son named Louis, who he had with ex-girlfriend Rachael Speed.
