Kiwi-Cafe In Georgia Says It Was Stormed By Meat-Wielding 'Neo-Nazis'

This is insane.

And now for something utterly insane.

A vegan cafe in Tbilisi, Georgia says it was attacked by men armed with meat.

Kiwi-Cafe was hosting a movie night Sunday, according to The New York Daily News, when more than a dozen men allegedly rushed the establishment and began throwing sausages at customers.

A statement on the store’s Facebook page claims the men weren’t simple pranksters, describing them as "neo-Nazis...who support fascist ideas.”

'Everyday negative attitude'

Things got worse as the fight moved to the street. "Locals took the side of fascists just because in their view we are 'different,'" the cafe added in the statement.

The men managed to get away "clean" before police arrived. Some of the officers were allegedly aggressive toward staff, too.

Owners said the cafe will remain open despite "the situation and everyday negative attitude to us."

"During these hard times you can support us just by visiting our café, we will be very grateful if you come to show everyone that here are a lot of us who care about the issue!"

The cafe has been targeted previously because of its supportive stance on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights, according to the BBC.

It claims the men visited a month ago and asked a neighbour about "the people who hang out in the café, implied LGBT, foreigners, punks, etc."
