Missy Elliott Stars In Marc Jacobs' Fall 2016 Campaign

She sure knows how to work that.

It's been a minute since we've heard from Missy Elliott, but the 44-year-old hip-hop artist is back in action starring in Marc Jacobs' fall 2016 ad campaign.

The "Work It" singer, who was just announced as one of the honourees at VH1's "Hip Hop Honors: All Hail the Queens" event next month, joins Genesis P-Orridge, Sissy Spacek, and several models including Grace Bol, Ally Ertel, and Binx Walton in the American designer's latest campaign photographed by David Sims.

The image sees Missy wearing a puffy down coat, adorned with jewelled details and feathers on the hood. The "Get Ur Freak On" songstress' hair is styled in a Mohawk, and she sports a dark, glossy lip and smoky, dramatic eye makeup.

"From the moment I heard, The Rain, back in 1997, I was entranced by the genius rhythms and brilliant rhymes of Missy Elliott," Jacobs captioned Missy's photo on Instagram. "Missy’s music has kept me and my design team happily energized through countless weekdays, weeknights and weekends during those long hours of sketching, fitting, styling and doing looks.

"I am in continued awe of Missy’s ability to push the boundaries of the style of music both to the eye and to the ear. It was a dream of mine to work with her and I'm happy to share this portrait by David Sims for our Fall '16 campaign."

Similar to Marc's past campaigns, he unveiled the rest of the stars one-by-one via social media, giving anecdotes as to why he chose each model.

"The individuals in these photographs represent a collective embodiment of love, honesty, integrity, courage, strength, curiosity and inspiration," he wrote on one post. "Together, as one story, this collection is a reminder to question and challenge normal and to continue exploring and pushing boundaries."
