Runaway Flower Girl Makes Memorable Exit

She stole the show (and our hearts).

It’s often debated whether or not kids should be allowed at weddings. But one flower girl is proving that children not only make the nuptials more adorable, but also far more entertaining.

At the exact moment Australian couple Tom and Katie Quirk were exchanging vows, their flower girl decided to make a mad dash. In a hilarious clip now posted to Facebook and YouTube, the three-year-old girl is seen running in the background as her mother chases behind her.

The bride told Today.com that she didn’t notice her niece running away at first because, naturally, she was focused on saying her vows.

“I saw this flash go by; then I saw my sister-in-law hauling after her, and that is when I turned to look,” Katie said. “I could see little Chloe actually turning around and taunting her mother as she ran. She was basically saying, ‘Come and catch me,’ and I think that's when it set in: ‘This is actually happening.’”

While Chloe certainly stole the show, the bride and groom were far from upset. In fact, the couple and their guests can all be heard laughing in the video.

“It will go down as probably one of the funniest moments anyone we know has witnessed at a wedding,” Katie told Yahoo. “[Chloe] already likes watching it and she just thinks she’s hilarious.”

This isn’t the first time a child has stolen the limelight at a wedding. In March, a little boy jumped on the train of a bride’s wedding dress as she walked down the aisle. And last year, a flower girl photobombed her mom's wedding photo by planting a kiss on the ring bearer.
