Mama Bear And Her Cubs Take A Dip At The Lake

Nothing says summer like a day at the beach — even if you're a family of bears.

A mama bear and two cubs were spotted at Pope Beach in Lake Tahoe, Calif. on Thursday. The trio sat close to shore, splashing around and basically just chilling out.

One cub even jumped to give mama a hug.

Thanks for the field trip, Ma!

Fellow beachgoers seemed pretty unfazed by the animals, with one group watching calmly from their floaties in the background. But experts recommend giving bears a wide berth, even if they seem cool with humans.

Eventually, the family sauntered back into the forest — probably for an afternoon nap.
