11-Year-Old Daniel Liu Is Already The Star Of His University Class

We definitely weren't doing that at 11!

Chances are most of us have come across, or at least heard of, some pretty smart kids. But it's not every day you come across an 11-year-old who is already attending university for organic chemistry.

Unless you know Daniel Liu, of course.

Liu is currently taking classes at the University of Toledo in Ohio and at his high school – where he enrolled at age 10 – simultaneously. And not only is he impressing his fellow classmates with his smarts at such a young age, but he's also breaking the internet.

On Monday, his post-secondary classmate Cigdem Kahyaoglu tweeted out a picture of the youngster and wrote, "This kid is 11 and in my organic chemistry class he said if we have questions to just email him."

The post has since been retweeted nearly 120,000 times.

But while Liu may be a viral sensation now, this isn't the first time he's had the spotlight shined on him for his stellar achievements.

In 2015, the tween was the youngest person ever to be named the Chemical Educational Foundation’s National Challenge Champion. The competition involved applying chemistry concepts to real-world scenarios and Liu earned a $10,000 scholarship as a result of his win.

And he's even pals with Bill Nye!

That's one smart kid!
