Céline Dion Opens Up About Finding Love Again, Admits To Only Kissing René Angélil

"The man of my life was my partner and we were one."

Céline Dion's heart is full of love.

The 48-year-old Canadian singer sat down with CBS Sunday Morning correspondent Mo Rocca over the weekend to talk about everything from her Las Vegas show and her love for singing to the love of her life, her late husband René Angélil.

During the eight-minute video, Dion opens up about meeting Angélil for the first time at the age of 12.

"I thought he was very beautiful," she says about meeting her future husband for the first time. "He looked great. I felt confident that this man was not treating me as a, 'Oh, hi, little pumpkin.'"

Angélil managed and mentored the "The Power of Love" singer until stepping down in 2014, the Hollywood Reporter notes.

The two began a romantic relationship when Dion was 19 and Angélil was 45, ET reports, and tied the knot at a fairy tale wedding on Dec. 17, 1994, at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.

The "Because You Loved Me" powerhouse, who also performed her 1,000th show in Las Vegas on Monday, says Angélil was also the only man she has ever kissed.

"[He was] the only man that I kissed, the only man that I loved. Yeah. I never kissed another man in my life..." she tells Rocca during the interview.

Rocca also asks the Caesars Palace headliner if she ever hopes to find love again in the future.

“Not now," she responds. "I love. I love. I love him. I’m still in love with him."

Dion also expresses her love for her three children, her family, her friends and her co-workers.

"I have the love of my fans. I love the people that I work with. So my life is not empty of love."

Angélil passed away on Jan. 14, after an ongoing battle with throat cancer. He was 73. Two days later, Dion's 59-year-old brother Daniel Dion also died after fighting cancer in his throat, brain and tongue.

"Before he left, it was very, very difficult for all of us," Dion says about her husband to Rocca. “The man of my life was my partner, and we were one. So when he stopped suffering, I said to myself, 'he’s OK. And he deserves not to suffer.'"

And although it has been nine months since her husband passed away, it is clear her life is full of love. The singer isn't ever afraid to be herself — whether that means "rapping" in her own style or just singing in the car, it is evident that Angélil is always with her.

"I go to bed with him. And I come on stage with him. And so I’m still married to him.”
