Susan Cole Wins 'Jeopardy!' After Alex Trebek Mocked Her Music Taste

Cold blooded.

With four words, Alex Trebek delivered one of the most devastating burns in "Jeopardy!" history.

During Wednesday's show, the host turned to contestant Susan Cole for her turn to share a personal anecdote.

“It’s really catchy and fun.”

The legislative librarian from Bowie, Md. chose to talk about her love for “nerdcore hip hop.” Trebek, bemused, called it a genre of music that “doesn’t sound like fun.”

Cole defended her taste. “It’s people who identify as nerdy, rapping about the things they love. Video games, science fiction, having a hard time meeting romantic partners. It’s really catchy and fun,” she said.

Then, with a smirk on his face, Trebek responded: “Losers, in other words.”

The audience certainly noticed, to say the least.

Cole laughed the remark off, and before Trebek moved on to the next contestant, he told her he was “kidding.”

But Cole ended up with the last laugh — the proud nerdcore hip-hop enthusiast went on to win the game.
