Are you Canadian? Do you love poutine?
If you answered yes to both of these questions (shame on you if you answered, 'poutine just isn't my thing') (who even are you?), then we definitely just found your dream beauty product. And it's the most Canadian thing to ever happen to any of us (except for maybe that one time there was a sweater featuring Justin Trudeau riding a moose, but that's a whole other story).
Canada, say howdy to poutine lip balm.
Yes, you read that right: poutine lip balm.
And who do we have to thank for this new national treasure? Edmonton's La Poutine restaurant and food truck, along with Wild Prairie Soap Company.
Inspired by KFC's chicken-flavoured sunscreen (we still can't believe that's real either), soap maker Tanya Zurock and La Poutine owner Lindsey Robbins decided it was time to bring our great country's modest delicacy (and number one hangover cure), which combines the perfect serving of flowing gravy, soft cheese curds and a whole lot of fries, to the beauty forefront as well.
"It almost curbs the cravings for poutine, because you just get that little whiff on your lips," Lindsey Robbins told CBC News.
As CBC notes, the gravy balm's recipe is top secret. The only ingredients revealed are the ones that make the base — sweet almond oil, beeswax and cocoa butter.
So, do you need to get your hands on the lip balm, like, right now? Then you better book a ticket to Edmonton, because the product is only available at La Poutine restaurant. And you better act now because they're selling out faster than you can eat a carton of poutine (stocking stuffers, anyone?).
Oh, Canada.
