Caesarian births are on the rise and now a new study suggests that the surgery could be changing human evolution.
According to researchers from Vienna, Austria, the frequent use of C-sections is preventing women’s pelvises from growing wider to accommodate the increased head size of babies.

“The dimensions of the infant head and shoulders are very close to and even exceed the dimensions of the mother's birth canal in humans,” said researcher Wenda Trevathan, a professor at New Mexico State University.
