Winter Kayaker Speeds Down A Hiking Trail In Victoria

That's one way to take advantage of all the snow.

Victoria, B.C., has been blanketed with record-breaking amounts of snow this winter and kayak guide Brad Armstrong is making the most of it.

The owner of Kelp Reef Adventures decided to pull his kayak out of the Pacific Ocean and give snow kayaking a shot instead.

This week, Armstrong videotaped his run down a hiking trail in North Saanich's Quarry Park. The run went mostly well (you can watch it above), so he gave it another try at Mount Doug Park.

At least this time he figured out a better way to brake!
