Couples Candidly (And Hilariously) Talk About The First Time They Had Sex

It can get awkward.

Oh, this is good.

In the video above by Cut, several couples openly talk about the first time they had sex together. And not only do these lovebirds get super detailed for five minutes, they have some pretty hilarious stories, too.

"I think he kicked the dog out, shut the door," one woman said. "[Shut] the curtains so the dog couldn't even look in, go play with the squirrels," her partner replied.

And it gets better.

But first-time sex isn't always picture perfect.

It can be nerve-wracking, embarrassing and for many, hard to achieve orgasm. And remember, there is always some type of awkwardness involved.

"If your relationship is casual, and you spend a lot of time and effort setting the mood for the first time, you might be setting yourself up for more awkwardness,” sex therapist Vanessa Marin says. "Make a few jokes, acknowledge the awkwardness, then try to enjoy your time together."

Communication is key, and like always, practice makes perfect.

But the video also makes something else very clear: sex with your significant other changes over time.

Whether you have kids or just a different kind of connection, it's clear sex means something completely different than it did when you first got together.
