Want to start your day off just right? Doing just a few of the things on this list will help you get your day off to a good start and you'll have better focus and patience for the rest of the day.

Stretch

Stretch like a cat every morning when you get out of bed or do a couple of your favorite yoga poses. Stretching improves your flexibility and range of motion. Stretching helps to lengthen tight muscles which relieves pain and improves posture. It also improves blood flow to your muscles.

Drink Matcha

Enjoying a delicious cup of matcha tea is pretty much the best possible thing you can do. Packed with antioxidants, matcha tea improves focus and boosts energy. It's all the zing of a cup of java without the jitters. Matcha's high chlorophyll content helps to rid the body of toxins and heavy metals while increasing the metabolism and burning calories.

Meditate

Matcha tea has been used for centuries by Buddhist monks to improve meditation as it calms the mind and helps with focus. Take just a few minutes out of your day to meditate -- it improves concentration, makes you more patient, reduces stress, and it boosts metabolism, your immune system and brain functioning. A little mindfulness can go a long way

An Attitude Of Gratitude

Take a moment to reflect on all the things you are grateful for. Getting a little perspective at the start of your day will improve your mood and remind you that you are a very lucky person with a wonderful life and more potential than you can shake a sharp stick at.

Set Your Intentions

You know that horrible feeling when you get to the end of the day and feel like you've accomplished nothing? Well, setting intentions for the day will help to organize your thoughts and actions and you'll be amazed at just how much you can get done.

Give Yourself Some Wiggle Room

While setting your intentions, pad your activities with a little extra time. This will give you some room to put out any fires that would otherwise derail your day. If your day is happily fire-free, use this time to take a walk in the park, talk to a friend or catch up with your errands.

Tidy Up

Before you leave home, give the house a quick clean. Life gets really busy, but coming home to a tidy house will make you feel happier and more organized.

Ten Minute Dance Party

While you tidy up, turn up your favorite tunes and get a little pep in your step. Music has a myriad of benefits like improved brain functioning and creativity. So crank up those tunes and shine on you crazy diamond.
