What I've Learned So Far on My #ThatBassTour

One of the most important things I've learned so far while being on this tour is to take care of my body as much as possible by eating healthy and getting plenty of sleep...sleep is crucial. And drink lots and lots of water. But the biggest and most important thing for me to practice on tour would be taking care of my voice.

Hey Huffington Post Canada! This is Meghan Trainor and I am guest blogging today to talk about my first North American tour, #ThatBassTour! Ever since my song "All About That Bass" and debut record Title were released, it's been pretty crazy. I've had the chance to visit a lot of cities that I've never been to before, and we even went go-karting in Oregon which was bomb, but I would have to say San Francisco was my favorite stop so far.

Luckily I got to kick off the tour in Vancouver, which was amazing. I was really nervous but when the crowd started singing every word to every song, I finally got into my groove, relaxed, and enjoyed the moment.

One of the most important things I've learned so far while being on this tour is to take care of my body as much as possible by eating healthy and getting plenty of sleep...sleep is crucial. And drink lots and lots of water. But the biggest and most important thing for me to practice on tour would be taking care of my voice. Before every show I do my vocal warm ups, and afterwards my vocal warm downs.

Probably the best part about this tour though is getting the chance to meet a lot of my fans. At every show I go out and meet the fans who wait outside for me and it makes me so happy that my songs touch a lot of young girls' lives. I get asked sometimes what my advice would be to young girls who have dreams of being a singer or songwriter, or to go on tour, and I would say, work hard and never doubt yourself and... once you have a hit song, no one can stop you!

I'm really excited for my next stop in Toronto on Friday, March 6th! I can't wait to perform and dance and "shake it shake it" with all of my Canadian Megatronz! If you can't make it to Toronto, don't worry 'cause I'll be back and don't forget to follow me on Twitter, @MeghanTrainor!
