Absurd Property Of The Week: Vancouver vs. Winnipeg

We're back to our cross-Canada tour and, this week, we're headed to Manitoba. I'm told houses are pretty cheap there, so I thought I'd have a look to find what you could buy for a measly $650K in Winnipeg.

We're back to our cross-Canada tour and, this week, we're headed to Manitoba. I'm told houses are pretty cheap there, so I thought I'd have a look to find what you could buy for a measly $650K in Winnipeg*.

Here's a charming house:

This 2842 sq.ft. four-bedroom family home features a huge eat-in kitchen, five bathrooms, double car garage and a landscaped backyard.

Next up this older, 1980s home in Charleswood:

Five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, wood burning fireplace, in ground pool in the privately treed back yard...and a three car garage.

Or there's this brand-spankin' new home in River Park South:

Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, chef's kitchen, master ensuite with jacuzzi tub, two car garage...landscaped yard... The list goes on and on.

It's hard to find a house in Vancouver for $650K. But I did!!

Great landscaping out back but, unfortunately, no garage. I'm sure nobody will mind if you park on the front lawn.

*Disclaimer - I know that Winnipeg is not Vancouver -- I've seen the map. Actually had to memorize it in school like everyone else. Please don't whine about how I'm not comparing apples to apples. It's all in fun, friends!
