As a child and family therapist I have been assisting parents in having difficult conversations with their children on a variety of topics. As a parent I have had to have these same conversations with my own children.
We're all about ease and simplicity when it comes to mealtime. And what could be easier than a recipe that combines your protein, grains and vegetables in one dish? The trend to eat out of a bowl is widespread. It can be seen in restaurants, on take-out-menus, and home kitchens from coast-to-coast.

Fortunately, not all smoothies are unhealthy or dangerous -- in fact, green smoothies, when made with the correct vegetable to fruit ratio, along with healthy fats and plant proteins, not only provide greater nutrition than many common sit-down meals, but also serve as an easy, real-food alternative to many dubious prescription medicines.

As I approach 30 at the end of June, I am thankful. So thankful. I should have died at the age of 23 following three massive seizures due to failing kidneys. I've found that it's so much easier to "do life together" and draw on each other's experience, than for each of us to try to master everything on our own.
There's no one-size-fits-all approach to health and fitness. When you follow solid health advice the path to your health goals won't happen in under four weeks, but you'll begin getting closer than you ever did before. And you'll do it in a way that feels almost natural and enjoyable.
You know what? I'm freaked out about it, too. This is such a big issue in the world and it's easy to freak out about it. Deeply caring about this and wanting to do something to help is the first step in making a difference. So, let me start off by saying you're already making a difference because you care.
It doesn't matter if you're male or female, 25 or 75, by eating enough protein and engaging in regular weight training, you can slow aging, better your appearance, improve your health and prolong your life, as well as the quality of your later years.
