There is nothing wrong with being Canadian, nor should it be considered an automatic barrier to success. Problems for Canadians are only encountered when the genuine attributes of the Canadian temperament and culture are relegated to subsidiary position to those more accurately deemed American.
Is being Canadian just some sort of patriotic "feeling"? Is it some intangible country specific pride? I set out to change what non-Canadians thought of us but it turned out I didn't know myself. Figuring it out has become a personal quest.
Canada is unpredictable. And no clearer example of this can be found than in our variable weather conditions (especially where I live out East). But although the weather is unpredictable, we know how to look on the bright side. Rather than glass half empty, it's a cuppa Red Rose tea half full, eh!
