Simply stunning.
The engagement of faith communities in the work of climate justice is important as it brings added dimension -- both moral and spiritual -- to an issue once considered the purview of environmental science alone. As institutions of faith, churches have significant resources at their disposal.
Reconciliation is to come together, understand each other, and move forward with a new and better relationship. It may start with ringing a bell or planting a garden, but there is a long road to walk ahead.
When the first earthquake rocked Nepal, millions of Canadians were heartbroken by what they witnessed on their screens. It seemed nearly impossible to believe that such a poor, tiny, gentle country could sustain such cruel loss of life and livelihood.
