farmer's market

While perhaps not as famous as its coffee or penchant for precipitation, Seattle's uncanny canine distinction makes it an ideal place to visit with your dog.
There's nothing better than shopping at a farmers' market. The benefits are endless. But, as anywhere, buyers beware! Take the opportunity to buy the freshest, most local organic goods, and make sure you know what you are buying, who your money is going to, and what you are supporting. Just a few questions we all need to be asking our farmers (before we say "thank you").

I love farmer's markets. I love the atmosphere they create; all the produce and hand-made goods lined up on tables in wooded or cardboard baskets. Everyone attending can take in what real food looks, feels, and smells like (from our own backyards!). It reminds me of a simpler time when it was expected of us to grow and create the things we need for our daily lives.
