The gut is like a highway junction to every part of the body. The mucosal lining of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) gives direct access to the blood stream which carries nutrients, oxygen, toxins, waste products, and inflammatory markers to the whole body. So when there is trouble in the gut, you can have health issues throughout your body.
Just as shape, consistency and timing of our bowel movements are important indicators as to the health of our digestive system, so too is the colour of our poo. Brown, red, white or green, these colours tell us much about not only the foods that we eat, but whether you're absorbing important nutrients or have a bowel condition.
Feeling gassy and bloated is NOT normal.
Taking a look at your poop before you flush allows you be your own health detective. You can even potentially catch harmful conditions before they progress, such as parasite infection, leaky gut syndrome or even colon cancer.

Listen, I realize that this is a bit of an embarrassing topic but this is definitely a poop topic I wanted to cover because I know that most of us have had sticky poop at least once in our lives. And honestly, it's important to talk about it so we can resolve any issues happening in the gut that could be affecting our health.
