travel alone

You'll be surprised how much you can learn about yourself.
Trust yourself. If something does not seem right to you -- leave. Don't worry about being polite. Don't worry about looking foolish. Women who have found themselves in harrowing situations often say later that they wish they had listened to that queasy feeling.
Feeling alone is my hardest struggle, much more than facing the unknown. But loneliness is a near constant during travel. We all feel lonely however, even in our regular lives. Travelling has also taught me how universal it is, how eternal and essential it is to come together.
I absolutely agree that travel is the best way to learn more about neighbours in other parts of the world and also about ourselves. But where I am bit discouraged is why so much emphasis is placed on traveling for youth and not adults.
