We have a government that thinks women's issues are topics for social teas and the patron of gala fundraisers. It's the same government who's cabinet is bolstering a low 30 per cent women and it's the same Cabinet that features 0 women in senior economic portfolios. It's time for a serious change.

One of the most contentious issues facing the 41st Parliament is Motion 312. My feelings on the abortion issue are complex and have evolved over time. I have come to the conclusion after years of deliberation and inner debate that I am both Pro-Choice and Pro-Life.

It's been called the Games for everybody. But, this is not true. Women are not equal to men in the Olympics, and it needs to be fixed. It can't be lied about, or glorified for what it isn't. The Olympics are not equal, and to insist they are is insulting to equality and women. We've made strides, but not enough. If it's only a good start, then it should only be reported as a good start.
