Inspired by the work of American artist Anne Truitt, Colombian designer Silvia Tcherassi presented a jaw-dropping 25 ensembles at the prestigious Museo de Arte Moderno Medellin (Museum of Modern Art of Medellin).

The highly anticipated closing show, which was presented by Colombian cement company Argo had Tcherassi present her collection on a ramp adorned with scultpural columns which added a structural elegance to the overall presentation.

Tcherassi hails from Barranquilla, and is touted as the next Carolina Herrera (who also has Latin American roots as she's from Venezuela), presented her Spring/Summer 2014 to a packed house filled to the rim with the city's fashionable set at this exclusive invitation-only evening.

The silhouette continued to be feminine with lace and sequins used to emphasize the decadent detail which adorned each look. Looks varied from dresses, to coats, incorporating fantastic fringe detail on some, while using an intriguing colour palette throughout.

The fabulous gowns were made out of a unique neoprene material and the designer continued on her creative path which then progressed with the use of bugle beads all possessing avant-garde infused cuts. Her collection of suits evoked the essence of Baroque with applique embroidery and organic forms.

And of course let's not forget the fantastic colour coordinated gladiator style stilettos and the lace fingerless gloves. Gorgeous.
