There are thousands of photos online of celebrities strutting through airports with flowing hair, casual chic layers and flawless makeup.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Tracy Anderson, Jennifer Lopez (a.k.a. J.Lo), Taylor Lautner, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Jay-Z and many more have been photographed to and from a first class flight. I am always in awe of how they can look so well put together. I know they have teams of stylists to help them look chic when landing after a 10 hour flight but I am still amazed by it all.

I am sure after a long (or short) flight I probably look like I just woke up, with bed head and wrinkled clothes. Always trying to get my style together a bit more, I recently spoke with Elana Brynes, Founder and Creative Director of Kings of Cole, a high end line of hoodies and loungewear. I asked Elana, how can the average person look like a celebrity and feel fabulous when travelling?

Top Tips To Look First Class When Travelling

While travelling, it is imperative that your attire is comfortable for long flights. Look for hoodies and sweatpants that are very tailored and polished, creating a clean and effortless look. The biggest travel fashion crime is trying too hard -- seriously, who is comfortable wearing a tight dress and six-inch heels -- you aren't fooling anyone.

The key to dressing to impress while traveling is accessorizing a dressed down look. Pair a full-zip hooded sweatshirt with leggings or skinny jeans and a cool boyfriend tee or tank underneath. Top off this look with a fedora or statement look and you are good to go, looking effortless and confident.

What Colours Are Hot Right Now For Casual?

Right now it is all about Gem tones. Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, over the deep and striking colours of this season. Mix in a pastel for Fall like a blush pink top paired with chocolate brown boots to create a pop of soft colour for a perfect Fall look.

Trends For Casual This Season?

Boyfriend style is key. There is nothing better than a cool, casual boyfriend hoodie, and you don't even need the boyfriend! Closer to spring cheeky phrases will be on sweats and be the attention getter.

Tips For Looking Fabulous In Sweats When You Arrive At Your Destination.

There is NO way celebrities take an eight-hour flight and emerge from the plane looking like cover girls without a little sprucing. Always pack an essential "touch up kit" when travelling. Everyone is different, but for some this may include: oil blotting pads, a little bit of touchup-makeup, a hair brush and lip gloss for a polished look.

If you are wearing a zip up hoodie for the plane over your casual look, make sure to wear a flattering T-shirt or tank top underneath so that you can easily throw your hoodie over your shoulders or around your waist in case there is a weather change at your destination.

The biggest mistake is to wear a tee or tank that is not suitable on it's own, because the next thing you know, you will be stuck in Aruba unable to shed your extra layers off the plane.

I am going to pack these amazing style tips the next time I travel to help me look chic at any airport.

Stay tuned to my blog and share your comments below. Your tips and suggestions are always welcome, as I continue on my journey to find pretty, stylish and comfortable fashion.
