What bothers you more? Thigh fat or belly fat?
There is usually a tie between thigh fat and belly fat as a "disliked trouble" spot for most ladies. Both areas can be stubborn but blame it on nature -- we are designed for protection and survival!
Ha! So yes that does make it more challenging and yes you can get rid of it. Here are 5 tips that have helped my clients lost fat off their bellies.
Easy on the Carbs
Carbs at night are not your friends. Trust me, they will just glue on to your belly. If you are trying to lose weight, the best thing to do is eat carbs in the morning or afternoon but not for dinner especially if you are going to be spending the night on your couch.
Start doing stairs
This is a crazy cardio workout and I have had many people tell me that as soon as they start doing stairs they start to drop weight like crazy. But! I have to warn you that if you are starting out make sure that you go slow and slowly build up as it is an intense workout.
Lift Weights
You want to lose weight in your belly? You gotta lift weights! Even though there are millions of ab exercises you can do, you will get a toned flat stomach if you start lifting weights. My clients, the ones that still have a flat stomach without doing a million crunches have it because they have to weights!
Eat less food at night
Do you have big dinners? What do you think happens to all the food once you have eaten and you sit down for the night? It gets stored right where you want it the least. So eat more during the day and have smaller dinners.
Drink lots of water
Not only is water great for your health, skin and everything else but it will also fill you up so that you feel so much fuller. This means you will eat less and likely to lose more weight. One of my clients Jody started having 1 glass of water before every meal and this helped her drop about 15lbs!
If you want to get rid of belly fat start by incorporating one of these changes in your life and you will see your body change! See more.
