I live in Vancouver, but I'm not a Canucks fan. That is very typical of a lot of people in the city,

It could be because there are so many people who moved here from the rest of Canada and so are loyal to their old teams. I was raised in Montreal and always liked the Canadians, and next, the Bruins.

But that is not the real reason a lot of locals are not fans. It is because of performance like this one tonight, and in the series. Year after year, the Canucks look very good, but somehow snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It is how they lose that is so disheartening. It's like they forget how to play, or don't care. It is a lack of heart.

The Canadiens have won many Stanley Cups, and they have lost other playoff series, but I can't recall anytime they just laid down and died. And then you look at what the Bruins did in this series when they were down 2-0 in games. They just dug in and played harder.

Over and over throughout the playoffs, the Canucks seemed to ease off when they felt the series was going their way, and got spanked for it. It's embarrassing for a team in the Finals to be outscored 23-8. They deserve their fate.

Next year, Canucks, do your fans a favour and slack off before the playoffs, so that you don't waste your fans time.

Oooh that is so harsh, the canucks did win the Presidents and did get to game 7 in th final. We the fans, had a lot of fun watching them throughout the year, but they did choke and t was painful.
They need someone with fire in their belly to lead them next year, I hope that the managment will look at the leadership and give it to the guy with the most heart, Ryan Kesler.

sigh.

What the Canucks lack in enthusiasm, they make up for in sheer incompetence.

Congrats Bruins, at least one team knows how to entertain.

Thomas is making the Canucks offense look like a man against boys.

No second effort. No sustained pressure.

Doesn't look good for the boys from VanCity.

Come on "Nucks.
I've watched plenty of games where the first goal doesn't mean jack.
And more importantly: Nucks fans: if you are fortunate to be there! Lose your voice! Cheer like there's no tomorrow!
