Canucks took Luongo out for the empty net and the Bruins took advantage. 4-0 Bruins. This one is over!
Kesler attacks the net right away and gets a shot off on the right side, but Thomas blocks it.

Daniel Sedin takes a wrist shot but Tim Thomas comes up with another save, even though Sedin skated right into him. Faceoff coming. TV Timeout.
Canucks kill the power play, but it's still 3-0 Bruins with 12 minutes left in the game. Time is running out.
Hansen blindsides Andrew Ference of Boston with a huge hit and draws a 2:00 penalty. Boston on the power play.

Vancouver is leaving Luongo in the game. In Game 6, the Bruins score three goals in four minutes and knocked out Luongo in the first period.

Recchi gets off a shot after a quick move to get by Ehrhoff, but Luongo makes the save as Recchi falls down.
BRUINS SCORE AGAIN. This time Brad Marchand gets the puck off a rebound and jams it in past the glove of Luongo. 2-0 Bruins with 7:30 left in the second period.
Alex Burrows drags the puck in front of the net as Bruins defenders dive on the ice to block it. Tim Thomas was too far out in horrible position and couldn't recover. Burrows finally shot it, but Chara came up with a huge stop, saving the game-tying goal. VERY close call for Boston.
Campbell takes a shot, but Luongo makes another save and covers it. TV timeout.
Higgins gets a shot on goal but Thomas makes a pad save. Then the Bruins come right back with a shot of their own and Luongo makes the stop.
Canucks are dominating in shots on goal this period. They already have four and the Bruins don't have any.
Bieksa from Vancouver puts a shot on the net but Tim Thomas comes up with a glove save.
At the end of the first period, the Bruins are winning 1-0. Canucks have eight shots on goal and the Bruins have five.
Vancouver's Christopher Higgins goes after Chara from Boston and nails him from behind. Chara falls onto the ice and his some difficulty getting up. The refs blew the whistle because Chara was hurt. He appears to be okay though.
Canucks get a 2-on-2 and somehow get a shot off but Tim Thomas is there for another save. TV Timeout.
