Prince William and Kate arrive in Ottawa at 2:30 p.m. ET today for the start of their nine-day Canadian tour and first official overseas visit.

More than 1,300 journalists have been accredited to cover the tour, and there are expectations that with Canada Day falling on a Friday and sunny skies forecast, a record 500,000-plus Canadians will turn out to see the Royal Couple on Parliament Hill.

Almost much by definition, royals spend all of their time on official tours checking out “official” sights—and few Canadian cities are better stocked with those than Ottawa.
