Surprise Wedding For Ontario Bride (VIDEO)

Surprise Wedding

Hey grooms-to-be: Just try to top this guy's performance.

A woman from Tecumseh, Ont., near Windsor, got the "surprise of a lifetime" Saturday when her boyfriend of seven years proposed, then whisked her into a wedding ceremony attended by more than 200 family and friends.

As the Windsor Star reports, Colleen and Shawn Lippert were married under bright paper lanterns after the successful execution of what Shawn called "Operation White Cake."

The paper reports:

After she uttered the threeletter word, a speechless Lippert was whisked to a room in the club where she discovered her dresser, vanity desk and jewelry box. Also, the white dress tied with a black sash she had picked out months before.

Read more of the story here.

Shawn documented the covert operation and put it all up on a website to encourage other romantics.

This guy takes the cake when it comes to romance. I've never seen or heard of anything that could ever top this. I wish this couple a very, very, happily ever after : )

This could be a good way to propose, and it could be disastrous.

"Bride had no idea." Yet, she had a dress already picked out. Sorry, but your sensationalist journalism doesn't impress me.

Uh, you didn't watch it, did you?

Didn't you hear? She clearly said she had it all planned that they were going to get married in Vegas.

I thought part of the fun for a woman was the months of preparation leading up to the big day.
Dude thought he was doing her a favor by getting it over with as quick as possible.
Hope her wedding night doesn't go likewise. HAHAHA.

The fun part??? More like the most stressful thing she will ever have to go through in her whole entire life!!! This 'dude' did do her a huge favor by taking away all of her stress and if he spent a year planning this event (even to bring all her bedroom furniture) you can be rest assured that he will have spent a great deal of time planning their homeymoon, where I'm sure his romantic side will continue to shine : )

In a world that is so easy to be cynical about these days, this is a wonderful video to see.

It is romantic, but I wonder how many brides would really appreciate not planning their own wedding.

The answer to your question is very, very, very few. And this fun-spirited, easy going woman is one of them. She totally rolled with it and you could tell she's the complete opposite of a drama queen. I bet she's plotting awesome revenge on him already.

Yes she's obviously not a control freak.
Nice.

I dont know, but it seems like the best ones wouldn't mind long as they had their family and friends there, and the man of their dreams. All the rest is very very optional. I'd take a bride like that any day of the week over the rest.

She said as she was getting out of the vehicle that she was expected to go to a retirement party that night so that was why the hair was done probably.
