Is The Holiday Season Upon Us Too Soon?

Halloween happened a mere 24 hours ago and already people are tearing down the faux spider webs and chucking their beautifully carved pumpkins to make way for mistletoe, sparkly snowflakes and the mayhem that is the holiday season.

It's not just our favourite coffee shops that are ready to celebrate (notice the stacks of red holiday cups?), it's also our favourite stores. Aritizia just released their winter lookbook and Canada's one-stop luxury shop, Holt Renfrew, is ready for their seasonal window unveiling (happening tomorrow). Even Justin Bieber is feeling festive -- his new holiday album was released today, complete with a cover of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town (ya, in two months).

Blah. I heard my first commercial for a Pre-Christmas sale yesterday (Halloween wasn't even over!) and today I've seen a handful of Christmas themed commercials on the television. Way to soon. But I suppose we are a country of consumers, so what can you expect.

No. Sorry. Christmas, Solstice, Hanukkah, whatever you celebrate in December...it doesn't start until AFTER November.
