Two rec-league teams in Port Credit, Ontario, a suburb outside Toronto, got a once-in-a-lifetime surprise when thousands of screaming fans descended on one of their games.
The fans were a flash mob taking part in a Budweiser Canada commercial that will be airing during the Super Bowl. According to the ad, the teams were told that the crew was filming a documentary on amateur hockey.
The ad comes complete with sportscasters, tons of pumped up fans and even a chicken mascot with a t-shirt cannon. We're pretty glad that the players from the Generals and the Amigos put on a good game and judging from the looks on their faces and their comments in the post-game interview they were pretty happy to have the attention.
"Not that I was ever in the professional leagues anywhere, but this is how I imagine it would be," one of the Generals players said in the ad.
