Puberty is never easy. But it's especially hard for girls like Ellie Jaycock, a 17-year-old from the U.K. Because of a rare condition, Jaycock has watched her breasts rapidly grow from a C-cup to a F-cup to a K-cup in just over four years.

The Daily Mail reports the 5'4" teen says she's been ridiculed and bullied because of her condition. But it's the physical discomfort she's had to endure that's causing her the most pain -- large breasts can be the source of several problems, including a deteriorating posture and upper neck, shoulder and back issues.

And while in the U.S., the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery will perform a breast reduction surgery on teen girls (it's one of the few surgeries they say they will perform on people under the age of 18), Jaycock has been told by U.K. doctors she'll have to wait until she's at least 21 to have her breast size reduced.

The reason? It has nothing to do with her doctor's belief that the surgery is unncessary (like the botox injections the "Human Barbie" Sarah Burge gave to her 16-year-old daughter, Hannah, or the fact some parents in the U.S. believe plastic surgery is a good "gift" to give their children post-graduation). The doctors fear that because Jaycock is still developing (most girls won't actually finish puberty until they're 18, in some cases even later than that), the surgery could do irreparable harm to her body's structure.

And though the girl's shape is something some people dream of -- going to great lengths to alter their appearance, even when it might endanger their life -- it's a huge burden for the teen who just wants to feel normal.

She tells the DailyMail: "I just feel it's unfair that no one will help me," she says. "At least girls with flat chests can use special bras to boost their busts -- but I can't hide my boobs."
