It figures: the one day you step outside of your house without a sweep of blush or in your favourite sweatpants, you run into someone important (your boss, an ex-partner, someone you'd like to be friends with). What. A. Nightmare.

So we can understand why celebs take so much time to primp and prep themselves before going out on the town. Admit it, how often do you see an A-lister going bare?

Which makes yesterday's appearance of Heidi Montag -- she was out and about with husband, Spencer Pratt -- all the more shocking. We had a hard time recognizing the blonde bombshell without a done-up face.

We actually kind of like her au naturel look. What do you think?

Most of them are not unrecognizable to me because they don't have on make-up. I don't recognize them because I have no idea who they are!

Ew with all that "plastic" she put into herself you'd hope her face would look better, not so much, some people no matter what work they do will never be natural beauties
