We’re all about making life easier. So here, in our regular feature 10 Tips, we’ll equip you with tricks that’ll make any task -- from buying art to picking the right shade of lipstick -- seem simpler.

You often hear the phrase "I need my beauty sleep," a magical nighttime routine that is supposed to make our bodies feel energetic in the morning.

But unless you're taking the extra steps of adding in a beauty cycle every night before you hit the sack, solely relying on getting eight hours of sleep doesn't cut it.

Canadians spend at least one third of their lives sleeping, according to Statistics Canada. The 2008 study also showed women sleep more than men -- an average of 11 minutes more.

For those of you who are looking to get a little more out of our daily zzz's, here are 10 tips on getting beautiful while you rest.

If you're looking to get beautiful skin and have more energy in the morning, start by finding the time to sleep. Most adults function the best with at least seven to nine hours of sleep per night, says author Michelle Cederberg.
