Canada Telecom Rule Changes Threaten National Security

Canada’s plan to allow foreign companies such as VimpelCom Ltd. (VIP) (VIP) to increase their stakes in the country’s telecommunications providers poses a “considerable risk” to national security, Public Safety Canada warned.
