Winged Liner

If you can't hum the tune to "Zou Bisou Bisou," then this super sultry European look probably isn't the right one for you. The make-up and fashions on Mad Men are feeling a little more mod-inspired these days, especially when worn by Don Draper's fashionable new wife, Megan (played by Canadian actress Jessica Paré). We love black eyeliner, and it's all the more dramatic when it wings out at the edges, like at recent shows at Lanvin, Zac Posen and Erdem. To get this winged liner look, cover your lid with a pale matte eyeshadow in white, neutral or cream and line your eyes with a dramatic black liquid liner more thickly than usual. Once you get to the edge of your eyelid, smile and follow your natural laugh line, using it as a guide for the "wing" part of the look. Et voila! Vous êtes très jolie!

Super Natural

What's sexier than letting your natural beauty and bone structure shine through? When we think of super natural beauty, we think of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen. Just call it District 12 chic. But unless you're fighting for you life in an enchanted virtual forest in Panem, a flawlessly minimalist look like this isn't about wearing no make-up at all. The first step is to make sure that your skin has been exfoliated and deeply moisturized. Next, use a concealer to blend away any blemishes, dark spots and under-eye shadows. Using a light hand, use a creamy foundation with a dewy finish will make your ethereal complexion worthy of a pageant in the Capitol. If your lips are naturally colourful, do what naturally rosy-lipped Angelina Jolie sometimes does and pare it down with a whisper pink or pale beige lipstick. Sometimes when you blend in, what you're actually doing is standing out. Take a bow, Tribute! You're on fire!

Bloody Lips

Remember that scene in Game of Thrones when the Targaryen Queen eats an entire bloody horse's heart in one sititng? Of course you do. It's kind of hard to forget (even if you try really hard). Would you like to know what else is crazy memorable? Dramatic, near-gothic red lips, like the kind that have been seen at recent Gucci, Rochas and Badgley Mischka shows. No matter the season, a bloody dramatic lip is always in style. Let Dita Von Teese show you how it's done. It's like a red carpet for your face.

Go-Go Glitter

When Khloe Kardashian made a recent appearance on Ellen to talk about - among other things - the Kim and Kanye romance rumours, we just could not stop staring at her sparkly peepers! It was like she had pasted one hundred teeny tiny diamonds on her eyelids - mesmerizing! But we've been enchanted with the idea of glitter ever since Twilight became a thing, so while it's nothing new, springtime is a great season to bring the glitter back in subtle hues like whites, pale pinks and lilacs. Just make sure that you use it sparingly (one facial feature at a time, please) and keep the rest of your face relatively spare to let the glitter take centre stage.
