Summer has unofficially begun, and for all the foodies out there, this means finally reconnecting with our outdoor grills. Duff Dixon, of the Ontario Gas BBQ says some of summer 2012's most popular trends will include the return of charcoal, DIY seasoning, sauces and rubs, and outdoor wooden ovens taking on more than just pizza.

No stranger to outdoor cooking, Canadian chef Ted Reader has compiled a list of his favourite backyard recipes in his book Beerlicious, combining beer and classic BBQ steaks, burgers and chicken.
