Across the almost 10 million square kilometres of this fair country, food takes on different shapes and forms, depending on where you go. Yes, despite beer commercials telling Canadians we're all same, it seems our preferences align closely with our provinces.
Take Quebec, for example, producer of 90 per cent of Canada's maple syrup, where pouring the sweet stuff on snow and wrapping it around a Popsicle stick is a weekly (or daily -- no judgement) activity.
And then there's flip side, like in the north, where game meats are part of the diet in the Yukon and Northwest Territories -- but prices for vegetables and baby food can reach shocking heights.
