It's one thing to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games -- but it's a whole other ball of wax to be on the ground and feel the rush of billions of eyeballs on you.
For the Canadian athletes in London, the rush was palpable -- through their tweets, through their grins, through the undeniable excitement that led to athletes carrying one another on their shoulders as they marched for our country in front of the world.
Although not every athlete was able to attend -- swimmers and divers, who have their event during the first weekend, were noticeably absent -- Team Canada did its part to show our pride, from Alexandre Despatie's cheerleading in lieu to Milos Raonic's boisterous previews.
