Disappointment for one of Canada's medal hopefuls on Tuesday. Triathlete Simon Whitfield crashed his bike and had to withdraw from the race.
Canada's synchronized swimmers narrowly missed the podium and the women's basketball team were outmatched and eliminated by the U.S.
China's Liu Xiang had to bow out of the 110m hurdles but not before creating one of the most moving moments of the Games.
Britain had another great day at the velodrome while the U.S. women added to their success in gymnastics.
