Wondering what colours are in for spring 2013? Based on the runways of Montreal Fashion Week, there are only two: black and white.
The second day of la belle province's shows featured several spring-summer collections pairing the two basic shades together -- including outfits by Denis Gagnon.
Bright colours did occasionally show up on the runways, especially in the fashions of DUY. Designed by Duy Nguyen, the collection is perfect for wearing to a spring fling. The lines were feminine, but also edgy and the bright pops of colour (especially the pinks and mint greens) reminded us of Easter eggs or flowers beginning to bloom.
Another highlight of yesterday's shows were the designs of Iris Setlakwe -- her looks were decidedly feminine and accessible. Each outfit seemed to highlight the best parts of a woman's body: her curves, her hips and her décolletage.
