Jean Pierre Muyindu Charged In Vancouver Bus Assault

A Vancouver man has been charged with the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl on a bus.

Jean Pierre Muyindu, 30, was arrested by transit police Tuesday night, according to a news release.

The intensive investigation also brought forward two additional potential victims, said transit police.

In late August, the 12-year-old girl noticed she was being followed by a man while on a bus near the PNE. When she transferred to another bus, the man followed and "pressed up behind the girl, pinning her and grabbing her buttocks," reported CBC News.

Muyindu is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 3.
